I want to talk to you about a very serious issue; indeed, the most serious issue of our time. I am talking, of course, about robots. Why are we not building more robots? Why are we wasting our time debating about things like health care and education and foreign affairs, when the Ancient One from deep space will soon be upon us? When the day comes, and we do not have a robot army built and ready to go, who will operate the defenses in the underwater aqua-fortress? You? Yeah, right: try designing a neural interface for even one of the plasma cannons that won't give you instant psychosis. I know you all think we don't actually need an aqua-fortress in the first place, that all we need to do is call forth the power of Thoth and everything will be alright, but that's pure science fiction. The power of Thoth is not some magic wand to be waved around every time we create a mess with our own shortsightedness. We need to get serious, stop living in a fantasy land where we expect Thoth to solve everything for us, and make sure we have a robot army to staff the underwater aqua-fortress. Wake up, people!
